Nutrition Support for HIV/AIDS & TB Infected Peoples.
Nutrition Support for HIV/TB Infected Peoples (Children’s, Women’s and Men’s) this programme was organized by Mahindra & Mahindra Company Ltd., - Chennai, and Salem District People Service Society -- (NGO) Salem, Dated on 01.06.2014 and 09.00 am to 12.00 Pm at SDPSS Field office in Salem.

Dr. R. Chandran delivery the welcome address & spoke about of the infection HIV/AIDS This would result in lower-than-expected life expectancies and higher mortality as people with HIV age unless the average time people achieve viral suppression on ART increases.

Followed by Chief guest of Prof. Parabavathi , M.Sc., Ph.D., Principal of vellalar college of Nursing – Erode. We will & good spoke about effects of HIV/AIDS in should we be more concerned about our nutritional habits.

Mr. R. Kandhasamy co-ordinator,SDPS Salem, spoke on the importance of how does it affect our mental health, and what can be done about this. Mr. M. Amulraj, M.Sc., B.Ed., Principal, Centre Head Aero Kids International Pre-School. Spoke about Beware running out of drug options. Mr. R. Palanisamy SDPSS – NGO, salem, spoke about HIV infection increases risk of melanoma 25 April 2014 Men living with HIV have a lower risk of prostate cancer 22 May 2014 People living with HIV at higher risk of cancers caused by smoking or viruses, but not all cancers 16 May 2014.

This programme has been successfully completed. Totally = 140 people (40 student and 100 people) were beneficiaries in this programme.
Finally pamphlets on HIV/AIDS were distributed to the all people & school pupils and free food issued.
